Our sources say that around 8:30 this morning Pure Management Group was visited by the IRS. An employee that works in the office said there was also a man in an FBI jacket that was asking several questions. Several corporate office employees were called not to come into work, phones have been going straight to voice mail all day, and some employee cell phones had stopped working. The investigators had a search warrant for building A, but not for Building B where the majority of the financial documents were held and stated they needed to get a search warrant for the second building. It is unclear exactly what they are looking for but as soon as Nightclub Press finds out we will be sure to let you know. Some of the venues Pure Management Group represents is Pure, LAX, Tangerine, Noir Bar, and several others.

The news of the visitors has literally come hours before the premier event for the show, The Showgirl Must Go On, starring Bette Midler. The party was being held at Pure Nightclub one of the many venues run by Pure Management Group, which is run by nightclub management mogul Steve Davidovici. Pure nightclub is located in Caesars Palace. This is also where the showroom is located that the Divine Miss M will be performing weekly.

Update: Nightclub Press has received a statement from the company saying it is “cooperating fully with the investigation and looks forward to a quick and satisfactory resolution.”

It is said the Bette Midler event is still happening but it is unclear if the nightclubs will be open this weekend.

Check back for more updates or SIGN UP for up to the minute updates on all pertinent nightclub press information.

We are assuming Steve Davidovici will have everything back to normal in no time and that there must be some simple misunderstanding. PMG is the largest and one of the most successful venue management companies and is located in Las Vegas, NV.

33 News in Warren, Ohio:

The Warren Police Department is under fire for another accusation of abuse of force.

The latest incident happened during a September second arrest in the parking lot of a popular nightclub.

33 news is the only station that requested the dash camera video of the arrest.

Reporter Peggy Sinkovich and photographer Nick Rich show us the video and reaction from city officials.

We warn you some sequences of this video are graphic and very disturbing.

It’s this shocking video that has warren city officials in an uproar.

It shows a woman being tasered numerous times by warren police officer Rich Kovach.

Who had been called to the Up a Creek Bar back on September 2nd, for a disturbance inside the night club, after being handcuffed.

The woman was placed in the back of Kovach’s cruiser.

At one point she can been seen trying to kick out the window of the car and Kovach tasers her again.

Afterward the video shows the woman distraught and pleading for him to stop, but Kovach can be heard screaming at her.

Finally other officers arrive at the scene and Kovach removes the woman from his car.

As she is walking out of the frame, she is tasered again, the horrified expressions of onlookers can be seen on the tape.

Kovach in his report claims the woman fell after being tasered again.

This time falling to the ground and being knocked unconscious.

City officials saw the tape for the very first time with me this afternoon, and i spoke with them afterward.

Doug Franklin, Safety-Service Director says, “Yes, we placed him on administrative leave…terms of that.”

Although this incident happened september second the only action police officials took was to reassign Kovach to other duties.

It was not until today, that Kovach was actually placed on leave, which happens to also be the day we asked for the tape.

BOSTON, Sept. 19 — The man who lighted the pyrotechnics that caused a fire that killed 100 people in a Rhode Island nightclub in 2003 was granted parole on Wednesday.

The man, Daniel Biechele, 30, will be released in March.

Mr. Biechele pleaded guilty to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced in May 2006 to four years in a minimum security prison and three years’ probation.

Mr. Biechele was the manager of Great White, the band performing at the club, the Station, in West Warwick.

This was Mr. Biechele’s first effort for parole. He will have served less than half his term.

The board said it took factors like reactions by victims’ families and plans in granting Mr. Biechele parole.

In prison, Mr. Biechele, of Winter Haven, Fla., was a bookkeeper for an organization in Woonsocket that helps disabled children and adults.

Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch, who opposed the parole, said he respected the decision because it was “carefully considered” and “included the voice of victims, whose voices matter more than anybody else’s.”

Victims’ families are divided. Charles Sweet, whose son Shawn P. Sweet was killed, said Mr. Biechele was being treated too leniently.

“I think he should have served his four years,” Mr. Sweet said. “Now he goes back to Florida like nothing happened.”

Dave Kane, whose son Nicholas O’Neil, 18, died in the fire, told The Providence Journal that the board made a “good decision.” “I think it’s time now that this young man be given a chance to get back to his life,” Mr. O’Neil said.

The Station owners, Jeffrey and Michael Derderian, pleaded no contest last year to involuntary manslaughter. Michael Derderian was given four years in prison and is not eligible for parole. Jeffrey Derderian received 500 hours of community service and three years’ probation.

Nightclubs, bars, pubs and restaurants have recently become dependent on new messaging technology to keep patrons updated on recent happening and up to the minute promotions at their venue. The only problem with current text messaging systems is the control, the price, lack of innovative technology, and the inability to make the experience personal!

Most text message companies require forking over your intellectual data into the hands of another company and paying a per text message fee that adds up to astronomical monthly bills. These systems were typically sent from US short codes or five digit codes.

A new text messaging software that has been released today will now be all things text messaging for venue owners, nightclubs, bars, those who hold conferences, and many more looking for marketing solutions.

The software is downloaded onto a computer and keeps the text messages private. Entire marketing departments of nightclubs have been using the system to pack their venues on a regular basis and have been using the product frequently (every day) due to the no charge per message system. The payment required is a insignificant license renewal fee every month.

The system can connect your computer to a plasma screen, create chat rooms in your venue, send unlimited bulk messages, turn a regular VIP host into a Lead VIP host, create a personalized text to every person you know about an event you want to throw and it all comes from your phone number.

To see if you or your venue are eligible contact 1-800-625-3638 and leave a message with your name, title, company, phone number and a representative will contact you to meet and go over the product including a free demonstration.

Keeping you up to date with the latest in nightclub technology!

Story From Seattlepi.com

P-I REPORTER

Representatives for nightclubs stung by a recent Seattle police undercover investigation say employees did not commit some alleged crimes, but City Attorney Tom Carr says prosecutors have strong cases against all 28 people arrested.

Club bouncers and bartenders were arrested and accused of admitting and serving alcohol to minors and, in two cases, of letting an undercover vice officer enter with a concealed pistol.

David Osgood, attorney for Tabella Restaurant and Lounge in Belltown, said a bouncer did allow an officer to enter with a concealed pistol, but called the assertion he was undercover “a joke.” Continue Reading »
